We have 5 core volunteer committees that we are looking to expand. However, we welcome all support from the community and would love to talk if you have other interests or skills that could support our operations!
Events
We have 4 annual events that require a lot of preparation and day of staffing.
Communications
In this committee you'll help out with coming up with content for social media, writing content for press releases, articles for us to publish, etc. Writing experience definitely a plus!
Office Hours / Social Committee
We want to have a more stable in-person presence in our Phoenixville Office and be a local queer space for folks to feel safe and have fun. We also would like to expand our presence to all community tabling events.
Advocacy
This committee will deal with keeping an ear out for queer news, follow stories important to our organization, identifying other organizations or programs we can highlight or be a part of, and be aware of political issues that will impact the queer community.
Grant Writing / Fundraising
This committee will deal with writing proposals for different organizations offering grants, identify grant opportunities, and come up with fundraising ideas the LGBTEA can work on.
